It is lovely to see everyone at the start of term. I hope you’ve had a good summer.
Welcome to our new children and their families. We hope to have really positive relationships with you as your children grow and learn as they make their way through the school. We have made a really positive start to the term!
We will be welcoming Rev Teresa Wynne, our new vicar, officially to the parish on Monday 6th November. We are looking forward to working with her and developing further links with the church.
We have got our new gates installed but are still having a few minor issues with getting people through outside of the school pick up times. Mr Latham is making sure he’s around as much as possible to help make sure everyone can get in. The new fencing is also installed so that makes the school even more secure and we can also use the wildlife area at the back of the field again.
Reminder: we no longer allow anyone without a permit to park on the premises. For breakfast and after school clubs you will need to park and use the pedestrian gates.
Please remember to check your child’s uniform. We have a number of children who need indoor shoes and have yet to bring PE kits. Please ensure they have the correct uniform by Monday at the latest.
Should you have any queries regarding this please ask at the office or the class staff.
We are graded as a good school with outstanding features. We are pleased that the hard work of the school has been externally recognised.

RE Quality Mark.
We are proud and pleased to have gained a silver award for the quality of our RE. We are now working towards Gold in the next year to 18 months. Well done to all the children and staff.
Our SIAMS inspection report has now been officially published. We are delighted with the outcome and the feedback about our school and community. The report has been sent out to parents and carers today.
Class assemblies and events.
Parents/carers and family are invited to attend class assemblies and other events in the school calendar. This is an opportunity for you to share the work children have been doing.
Please ensure you arrive and are seated ready for any performance to start at the designated time. For most assemblies this is at 2.45PM ready for the class to start at 2.50pm. The assemblies normally finish by 3.10pm.
You will not be allowed in unless you are on time as this disrupts the children’s performances and the parents/carers and families’ enjoyment.
Please note: these are only for the parents/carers and families of children within the specific class. Mobile phones need to be on silent, video is not permitted. Further dates for next half-term are on the dates.
SchoolComms – online payments to school via credit or debit card
We have introduced a new service – ‘School Gateway’. This means that you will be able to make online payments via the School Gateway smartphone app or website. You will also be able to view school meal balances and top them up at any time.
