Special Faith Events
We have Prayer Activity Days linked to the events happening within the church.
This term we will be focussing on Lent and then Easter when we plan our prayer day. Lent is the 40 days which come just before Easter in the Christian calendar. Lent is the time for preparation and reflection before the celebration of Easter following the resurrection. For many Christians Lent replicates Jesus’ sacrifice and withdrawn into the desert 40 days and nights.
There are some excellent ideas to start you thinking – these are daily acts of kindness within the period of Lent from last year
This year’s 40 Acts will have further information and challenges from mid January. These can be found at http://ow.ly/WoIEp

Prayer Day – Friday 4th December 2015
We are making symbols to put together a Jesse Tree. A Jesse Trees are a very old Christmas Tradition and first started in medieval times. They are used to help tell the story of the Bible from creation to the Christmas Story. The name comes from Jesse who was the Father of the great Jewish King David. Each class has chosen stories from the Bible to share and then will be making symbols to hang on our Jesse Tree in the front entrance.
Here is our Jesse Tree and Christmas display.
