Parent Meetings and Consultations.

As mentioned in the last newsletter we are reviewing and reorganising the calendar to add in further planned opportunities for you to talk to teachers about your child’s learning and progress. This year we are going to be trialling a new system which hopefully will prove successful. This will include after school ‘drop-ins’, usual consultations and a progress review day. Drop in sessions are for parents who have a concern or would just like an update. We have tried to provide varied times to allow all parents the opportunity to attend. We would like all year 5 and 6 pupils to attend with their parents so that they are part of the process.

Please remember that these dates are the planned sessions, teaching staff are always happy to see parents at other times. Appointments can be made with teachers or via the office.

The survey on the school app was in favour of reports in the Spring term so we will be undertaking that this year. The format will be changed and we will be consulting with the new Parent Forum on this.

Initial general meetings:

Tuesday 23rd September Years 5 and 6

Information Evening.

Hopefully you are aware that there is a new curriculum and a new way of assessment this year. Last year we held a well-attended information evening for parents about this and we have planned to do the same this year on Thursday 4th December. The evening is information about the curriculum and how we will be assessing. Please put the date in your diaries as it would be very useful.
